Who is in Celebrity Big Brother 2018 line-up?

Celebrity Big Brother 2018 starts tonight, and already there are plenty of rumours swirling about the rumoured line-up.

Channel 5 is keeping tight-lipped about the stars it is bringing on board, but speculation is building over a handful of big names.

All we know for sure is that the first batch of housemates will be women as CBB marks the centenary of the female vote in 1918.

But there’s due to be a few surprises as the series progresses, with men being chucked into the mix to stir up the dynamic.

Here’s who could be in the CBB 2018 line-up.

Ann Widdecombe is confirmed!

Controversial ex Tory MP Ann Widdecombe is the second housemate confirmed for Celebrity Big Brother .

Sources exclusively revealed to the Mirror Online the 70-year-old would be stepping into the house this evening after a last minute signing.

Known for her controversial and divisive opinions, the former Tory politician is pro Brexit and has made it clear she isn’t a fan of reality stars.

During her time in parliament she opposed the legality of abortion, inflamed the LGBT community after voting against lowering the age of consent and gave her support for the re-introduction of the death penalty.

She entertained viewers of Strictly Come Dancing in series 8 of the dancing show in 2010.

Ann was the ninth celebrity to be eliminated from the competition with her professional dance partner Anton Du Beke.

The pair finished in sixth place despite receiving the lowest score from the judges in seven of their ten weeks in the contest.

In January 2017, Ann appeared on Sugar Free Farm, alongside the likes of Alison Hammond, Stavros Flatley and Gemma Collins.

Rachel Johnson is confirmed!

It’s more than just the blonde gene and a sense for gaffe-making that binds the Johnson family together: after dad Stanley’s stint in the jungle, daughter Rachel – the sister of Boris Johnson – has signed up to the CBB series.

The family that reality TVs together cleaves together, so it’s journalist Rachel who’s putting herself in the spotlight this time.

CBB announced on Christmas Eve the journalist was entering the house, tweeting: “We can confirm that journalist RachelSJohnson will be one of the female Celebrity Big Brother housemates entering the House live at 9pm, Tuesday 2nd January on channel5_tv!”

Rachel is married to National Trust director Ivo Dawnay and has three children.

Malika Haqq

Khloe Kardashian’s best pal Malika Haqq, 34, has reportedly been spotted at Heathrow Airport ahead of the show’s launch.

Malika, who has been close friends with Khloe Kardashian since they were 15, is believed to have been paid a “huge amount” to appear on the show.

This comes after Kim’s close pal, Jonathan Cheban , entered CBB in 2016 but ended up quitting after life in the house became too much.

A source told The Sun Online : “Show bosses have paid a huge amount of money to get her and they hope she will be able to to give an amazing insight into life with the Kardashians.”

They added that they reckoned she had a “real chance” of winning the show and that she would make “great TV”.

Malika used to be Khloe’s PA but now appears on a number of reality TV series including Real Husbands of Hollywood, Dash Dolls and Hollywood Divas. She is also a brand ambassador of Pretty Little Things.

Her entrance into the CBB house has come at a perfect time for Kardashian fans, who will hope that Malika will let slip some gossip on the sisters’ pregnancies.

India Willoughby

The transgender newsreader is a regular guest on This Morning and Loose Women and is now set to get viewers talking as one of the CBB housemates.

She was born Jonathan Willoughby and presented ITV’s regional news in Carlisle for ten years as a man, before undergoing gender reassignment surgery in 2015.

India once told of the moment she knew she had to make the change, saying: “It was a job I loved a lot but unfortunately I had a secret. I was ignoring what I knew deep down, that I didn’t belong in that body.

“Growing up in the 1970s and 1980s I kept the secret deep within me. But in February 2010 I was interviewing a politician and caught sight of my reflection.

“I had slicked back hair, a sharp suit, and looked confident. Yet I stared at myself in disgust. This has got to stop, I thought. I need to be true to myself.”

She revealed that she felt suicidal in her old body and only avoided taking her own life by getting so drunk she passed out.

India has a teenage son named Rhodes.

Charlotte Leslie

Charlotte Leslie was the MP for Bristol North West – until she lost her seat in June 2017’s snap election.

The pro-Brexit Tory is said to be earning a six-figure fee for her appearance.

The 39-year-old was once named the “sexiest MP in parliament” and is a keen swimmer.

A source told the Sun: “January’s series is all about strong, empowered women.

“Channel 5 bosses have been desperate to sign a female politician and are thrilled that they’ve managed to land Charlotte.”

However, when approached by Mirror Online, Channel 5 refused to comment on the speculation and confirmed that the full lineup won’t be revealed until launch night.

Shobna Gulati

The ex-Coronation Street star has been in secret talks with Channel 5 bosses about signing up to CBB, the Mirror revealed earlier this month.

A show insider exclusively told us: “Producers have been arranging a meeting with Shobna’s agents in hope of getting her on the show next month.

“Nothing is confirmed yet but they’re very interested.”

Shobna played Sunita Alahan in Corrie between 2001 and 2006, and then again in 2009 to 2013, but is just as well known for playing Anita in Victoria Wood’s Dinnerladies.

And Many more

What else do we know about CBB?

There’s going to be a brand new theme in the upcoming series.

A spokeswoman for the show explained: “This series with an all-female cast of celebrity housemates in a salute to a centenary of women’s suffrage on Channel 5.

“Presented by Emma Willis, Celebrity Big Brother will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house first, ahead of the celebrity male housemates.

“Over the course of the series, as the male counterparts enter the house, the housemates will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which will test their – and our – assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman – and man – in the 21st century.

“See what happens when women hold the power, as Celebrity Big Brother January 2018 is set to be celebratory, surprising and insightful.”

Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On the Side will return weeknights with Rylan Clark-Neal.

The main show returns Tonight (2nd Jan) at 9pm on Channel 5
